We are working together with Alumatic and Helokivi Group to design and construct a new tanker equipped with the latest safety equipment available.

Among other things, it will feature new retrofitted Mekra camera mirrors and a 360° camera that includes blind spot detection. The brake system of the vehicle combination will feature new solutions that make maintenance and servicing easier, developed together with Knorr-Bremse. The TPMS system will monitor both tyre pressures and hub temperatures. The vehicle combination will also be equipped with a Dafo fire suppression system.

Knorr has become BussiPro’s main supplier of brake system parts because their products offer good value for money. Together with our well-developed network of other suppliers, this has allowed us to integrate the TPMS system into the vehicle combination’s own CAN bus better than ever before. This simplifies installation and makes servicing easier. It also improves the reliability of the system in the long run since it reduces the number of separate wiring harnesses and connections needed and the ones that are needed are better protected from humidity. The new TPMS system can also be connected to Jaltest Diagnostics, which means that it can be inspected and diagnosed in the same way as the vehicle combination’s other systems.

Another significant new feature of the new tanker is the retrofitted 360° camera system developed by Mekra. Until now, this kind of system has not been available at all for some vehicles. This system changes that, and our tanker will be the first vehicle in Europe to be fitted with it. The 360° system replaces the vehicle’s traditional mirrors, and it also eliminates blind spots. In the case of our demonstration tanker, thanks to the cameras the driver will always be able to see the long trailer regardless of the trailer’s position in relation to the tractor. This would not be possible with traditional mirrors!

Our tanker can be seen for the first time at the Power Truck Show on 9 and 10 August 2024.

We look forward to seeing you there!

P.S. We would also love to tell you more about our Truck Care service, which can help you to achieve significant savings on fleet maintenance and servicing costs.
