Automechanika Frankfurt is the world’s leading automotive aftermarket event. It encompasses 26 exhibition halls, 4,200 exhibitors and more than one hundred thousand visitors from around the world. The trade fair presents what the industry has to offer and where it is headed. This year’s trends were electrification, vehicle connectivity, driver assistance systems and digitalisation.

The event is obviously also one of the key moments of the year for BussiPro, as all of our important spare part partners are present with their new products.

A few takeaways: 

– Dinex has launched a new catalytic converter with a maintenance hatch, making it easier to repair. Their product range covers NOX sensors and other AdBlue system components.

– Pekka Vuorivirta joined Knorr-Bremse in a Finnish sales support position. A new cooperation project for Helokivi will be kicked off with him. The aim is to build a next-generation tank truck using the latest TPMS and brake system components. We will hear more about this project later. We have done development projects with Helokivi before, and they have been top-of-the-range in Europe. This is an indication of the benefits provided by BussiPro’s extensive network. It is not only about supplying spare parts to customers, but about broader interest and capability in monitoring the industry and providing customers with new, even better solutions.

– Meritor is an OEM of brake and axle components for Volvo, among others. Their brake calipers have a 2-year warranty, ensuring that there is no need to compromise on safety. Rheinmetall, on the other hand, is one of the largest engine component OEMs – and also BussiPro’s trustworthy filter supplier. The ZF product family, from which we order original steering components (Lemförder) and shock absorbers (Sachs) are OEM equipment in almost all heavy-duty vehicles.
